Our mission is to manufacture, promote, market and sell the Ultrasonic Broken Rail Detector to railway companies and operators worldwide.

Company Profile

IMT has, in co-operation with Spoornet, developed, manufactured and tested an Ultrasonic Broken Rail Detector.

Spoornet possesses expertise and experience in the application of systems in the railways environment while IMT has the know-how and technical expertise in the development and manufacturing of ultrasonic components and systems.

The successful development of the Ultrasonic Broken Rail Detector led to the establishment of RailSonic as a cooperation between Spoornet and IMT.

It is envisaged that RailSonic will become a separate South African company that will be the business vehicle of Spoornet and IMT regarding ultrasonic solutions in the railways environment.
